☀️ Summer Hours Are Here! ☀️

Now that our members are on summer break, our office will be transitioning to summer hours beginning today.

🕒 New Office Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

If you need assistance, please plan accordingly and reach out during our business hours. We will go back to normal office hours on July 28. Enjoy the summer!

We are saddened to announce the loss of one of our own, Jeff Buchbaum.

If you were lucky enough to know Jeff, you know that he was a passionate teacher, a proud union member, a good friend, an extremely loving father and husband, a doting grandparent, a son dedicated to his mother and someone you could always count on.

Jeff taught special education students across the Valley and some of us were lucky to have him return to our schools more than once. He reached our students, their families and educators as a co-teacher, self contained teacher, facilitator and student success advocate for the past 22 years at Mojave High School, Monaco Middle School, Sunrise Mountain High School, Ruby Thomas Elementary, Von Tobel Middle School, Chaparral High School, Mack Middle School, Valley High School and most recently Cunningham Elementary.

With a smile, Jeff always made time to ask how you are doing, volunteer in any way or simply for a friendly conversation. His legacy will live on through his beautiful children.

As we go into the summer, reflect on your hard work, well done and don’t forget the people like Jeff Buchbaum made school worth coming to. Take time to do something selfless or say a kind word to someone who needs it in Jeff’s honor. He will be missed dearly.

Our hearts are with Jeff's family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

Vice President Galdino Griego is speaking today at the Joint Interim Standing Committee on Education. As a teacher at one of these schools in the Feeder School Pilot Project, he is in support of the project.
