In Addis Ababa for pre-ACS talks! Highlighted that the key to Africa’s climate resilient lies in innovative mechanisms for domestic resource mobilization. Time to rethink public finance to catalyze private investments in climate solutions. #ClimateFinance#ACS2025#cleanenergy
What the 2025 Auditor General’s report mean for women & youths in the mining sector.

Together with our partners, we engaged the Ministry of Lands to fast-track the operationalisation of the National Land Policy (2013). This presents a critical opportunity to address inadequate compensation, forced displacement, gender inequality in land ownership etc @awdf01
✂️🛑 Activists that protested against the destruction of #Lwera wetland in Masaka, have today been granted a cash bail of 1Million each to the 7 that were arrested on the 21/10/2025 peacefully protesting against the destructive activities in that area. #Protectwetlands.
COP30 Ends With No Commitment to Fossil Fuels Phase Out.
#COP30 has closed in Belém with no commitment to phase out fossil fuels in the final text, despite backing from around 80 countries. After days of deadlock, a small but powerful bloc, led by Saudi Arabia and Russia, succeeded in stripping any reference to ending the world’s main driver of climate change.
In response, COP30 President André Corrêa do Lago announced a voluntary “roadmap” to transition away from fossil fuels in a fair, orderly, and equitable way.
Civil society is clear: two voluntary roadmaps - one on fossil fuels, one on deforestation - cannot replace what the negotiations failed to deliver.
Whether governments act on that demand is now the true test of COP30’s legacy.
