We've submitted evidence to the Public Bill Committee, which is currently scrutinising the draft Health Bill.

The Bill proposes removing mandatory local authority representation on Integrated Care Boards, and replacing it with an individual nominated by a mayor of each strategic authority.

Without reform, our new report with Newton shows the cost of children’s care placements in counties could reach £5bn by 2035.

Based on five preventative shifts, the report shows that a new approach could deliver:

🧑‍🧒‍🧒6,000 additional parents each year could receive specialist support.
👦 2,250 children could be prevented from entering care annually
💴 £4.7bn cumulative avoided care placement costs by 2035
