The next step on the path to EVE Forever begins today, on EVE’s 23rd anniversary.
Today, we announced that we are becoming Fenris Creations: an independent company built to support the long-term future of the EVE universe.
The name Fenris Creations is inspired by Norse myth, and from an idea that feels very close to EVE: worlds are not meant to remain frozen in place. They are tested by change, shaped by consequence, and renewed by the people who live inside them. That has always been true of New Eden.
But it’s also inspired by our own history. When we sought out to make games in 1997 we were grounded by a guiding principle; for a virtual world to have meaning, it must be shaped by risk, loss, renewal, and the people who inhabit it. In short: death is a serious matter.
Our very first published game carried the name Fenris on the box, a reminder of the kinds of worlds we wanted to build.
Nearly three decades later, Fenris Creations carries that first idea forward into a new era. Our name and structure are changing, but our roots and ideals remain the same: building living universes shaped by people, trust, consequence, and time.
We enter this new chapter with gratitude to Pearl Abyss for their partnership and support since 2018, and with respect for what this chapter helped make possible.
As part of this new journey we're also beginning an exciting research partnership with Google DeepMind, exploring intelligence in complex & dynamic systems.
And as always, New Eden continues because you continue to build it with us.

The Girls Who Code EVEathon is live!
EVE Partner Rahne has brought together creators from across the community for a 72-hour charity stream marathon supporting Girls Who Code. Streams are running all weekend until midnight UTC on Sunday.
Check out the schedule here: https://t.co/k4d8TRUOHC
Putting together a list for creators that want to visit the London office in April to see how EVE Vanguard is coming along, are you on this list? Should you be? Let’s talk.
Mining is a big deal, and to celebrate the Catalyst expansion we're doing the only sensible thing: heading deep into a lava cave to check out everything the expansion has to offer.
Tune in at 19:30 UTC over on CCPTV to catch all the action!
The Legion Major Update earlier this week brought with it a bunch of balance adjustments. CCP Jotunn, CCP Monty, and CCP Okami head down to our ESS Vault Testing Center and demonstrate some of the changes.
Be sure to check out the latest patch notes to stay up to date with all the changes! What are you most excited about?
Really excited that players will be able to talk about the awesome stuff they're making in the Frontier, and for everyone to see what the devs have been cooking!
On 11 June the first Cycle of a New Era begins!
New sites, new mechanics, new components, and much more. You’ll also be able to collect Grace to compete against fellow Riders and impact your standings in the Frontier.
Whats more. EVE Frontier is fully public as it leaves closed alpha with no NDA. You’ll be free to share your exploits and speak openly about your experiences on the Frontier, your triumphs, defeats, and everything in-between!
What are you looking forward to most?

@Backbone666@DJSnM@EveOnline There were no registered CVA members at Fanfest this year. They're certainly older than 10 years old, though, so the next time a CVA member attends Fanfest we'll get them added 🗡️🗡️
