So, instead of repealing Obamacare like GOP has promised for more than a decade, we stack another "plan" on top of it that effectively re routes money that would go directly to insurance co's to people, who are then supposed to give the money back to insurance companies. smh.

We need to be honest, these are surveillance centers, not data centers. And in what world does a company build their own power plants, and then just give away excess electricity to the community? No, elec. bills will rise, and citizens will be last in line for power priority.

Here is the problem with influencer posts like this.

They completely ignore facts that make promises like these unlikely such as;

- The relationship with government and big tech (it's the same thing) that always works for their benefit
- The fact that no one is ever held accountable if they DON'T keep their word
- On the technical side, the language of the Ratepayer Protection Pledge, which of course most of the people in the OP's comments haven't read, says, "these companies will build, bring, or buy the new generation resources and electricity needed to satisfy their energy demands." This CAN translate to: they can buy up the power grid to use as they please. AKA BlackRock buying up power companies as we speak to hoard resources from the people
- Maybe your rates won't go up, but your access to power will become limited. Of course, that is not explicitly addressed in the Pledge or by any formal laws, by the way, which could exist to hold big tech accountable... but they don't.

Not to mention the light pollution, noise pollution, hoarding of water, contamination of water, EMF and God knows what else, and if they were to not have the maximum demand required available, then there would presumably be another electricity plant being built in the town that they wouldn't have needed in the first place, and ALL in the middle of an ongoing energy crisis.

It's low-IQ slop like this which keeps people in a complete daze, boiling the frog while they are actually in the process of being cooked alive.

@CLew2620 The Mariners know that to get a right handed bat that is actually good, it's going to cost them. I would say its the years of team control left on his contract thats the incentive to other teams. MLB has too many teams still in contention and not much market for rentals.
