🤔 Myth: Education explains the wage gap.
✅ Fact: At every level of education, AANHPI women earn less than white men with the same level of educational attainment. #AANHPIEqualPay
#AANHPIEqualPay means more than fair wages. It means having the resources to access quality healthcare, family planning, and to make decisions that allow us & our families to thrive. Economic justice is reproductive justice.
When AANHPI women are underpaid, access to reproductive health care and education suffers. From affordable contraception to culturally competent sex ed, #AANHPIEqualPay Day is about the right to thrive.
The wage gap for AANHPI women isn’t just about paychecks—it’s about power. Economic inequality impacts our access to reproductive health, education, and the ability to raise our families in dignity. It’s time for equal pay and full reproductive rights. #AANHPIEqualPay
Equal pay is a reproductive justice issue. Wage equity directly impacts our community’s access to childcare and healthcare. Our families deserve to make the reproductive choices that fit their needs. #AANHPIEqualPay
50 years of "trickle-down" economics have created record levels of income inequality. Enough is enough. This #AANHPIEqualPay day, we need leaders to support our communities and help us achieve livable, equitable wages.
AANHPI women can encounter culture-specific gender roles that inhibit our economic mobility. Often expected to be caregivers for elders, children, and spouses, we find ourselves sacrificing opportunities for the sake of others. #AANHPIEqualPay
An economy based on exploitation only benefits a few. A collaborative economy lifts all of us. Closing the wage gap is necessary for a society where instead of struggling to survive, all of us can thrive. #AANHPIEqualPay#NotYourModelMinority
Native Hawaiian women face some of the widest pay gaps. They only earned about 67¢ for every dollar their white, non-Hispanic male counterparts made. #NotYourModelMinority
Many AANHPI women experience large wage gaps that aren’t visible when you only look at the averages. Afghan American women make less than half of what white, non-Hispanic men make. #AANHPIEqualPayDay#NotYourModelMinority
When we look only at averages for a group as diverse as the AANHPI community, we miss significant disparities across different ethnicities. We must disaggregate the data to ensure key disparities are not ignored during decision-making. #AANHPIEqualPay
We need to come together to break down economic barriers that affect the AANHPI community. Regardless of our race, gender, income, or immigration status, #AANHPIEqualPay benefits us all.
For every $1 earned by white, non-Hispanic men, AANHPI women earn about 83¢. Money lost to the wage gap means having less to support our families and use as a cushion for job loss and hard times. #AANHPIEqualPay
Women who work still make less than their male counterparts. And while we’re not surprised, we’re still calling for a solution for the working women of this country.

🗓️ March 26th is #EqualPay Day for some women - Black, Native, & Latina women must wait even longer for their #EqualPayDay. Racist pay disparity costs families opportunity, health, lives & much more. Time to close the gender & race pay gaps!📢
Women of color face the largest gaps in pay compared to men. From food, to child care, to health care – closing the wage gap is a huge step towards making things more affordable for them and their families.
