UVA’s Mechatronics and Robotics Society visited our 4th graders today and provided hands-on activities about space exploration and rockets! 🚀🐸⭐️@CvilleSchools @melfumarola
Happy Hour of Code Week! The 4th grade @BMESBobcats tried out Teachable Machine and thought how helpful “People/No People” might be for search and rescue. Think Globally! #hourofcode#csedweek#STEMeducation
🔬✨ Our Preschool STEM Stars are hard at work exploring and experimenting! From bubbles to spooky spiders, these little scientists are having a blast with hands-on learning. 🧪🌟

Perseverance, determination, gravity, friction and failure all played a role in the final STEM challenge! Have a wonderful summer STEM Stars✨🐸 @GreenbrierElem @tonya_coffey_ @CvilleSchools
Second grade has been learning about animal life cycles and habitats. After selecting an animal, they each researched and wrote a nonfiction book about the animal. They also collaborated during @CCS_iSTEM to create habitat models. Check out our project gallery!
Third graders building chain reaction or Rube Goldberg machines with a little help from our friends. Thank you to @CHSBlackKnights students who used Sigma Lab to design and 3D print pulleys, a simple machine, that will be used in our projects.
Second grade @clarkbees model the effects of weathering and erosion on their team's sandcastle while also collecting before and after data on its height. Next, building and testing protective barriers!
Reading stars @GreenbrierElem enjoyed experiencing the solar eclipse! Thank you Dr. Coffey @tonya_coffey_ for making sure we had exactly what we needed!
This first grade class is using digital thermometers to measure the difference between the sunny areas and shaded areas of their team bus stop build, proving our Sun is the source of light and warmth for Earth.
When the custodian is an essential part of the lesson.. Thank you to Mr. Williams for helping our @clarkbees fourth graders test their team's structure for extreme "wind and rain."
We had a splendid Math/STEM Night. So much appreciation for our @CHSBACON volunteers, @uvadatascience experts, Clark families and students for coming out, solving math problems and facing STEM challenges. Way to go!
