@LoyaltyLobby This puts the per point cost of United miles at 1.85 INR per mile.
I think for getting United miles, the best way is to purchase Marriot points at 0.85 INR and convert them to United in 2:1 ratio. The cost of United miles from this process comes out to be 1.7 INR per mile
@vishal1mehra@timesofindia Don't worry, the massive annual fee is totally justified because I'm sure it comes with an offline Times of India subscription and a premium HD TimesNow voucher.

@Ankit_Quant Peaceful protesters don't drive trucks of stones past heavy barricades into high-security zones—but a vehicle impounded and held in police custody since July 16 somehow magically ended up right there. Demanding accountability for a staged riot isn't "bullshit," it's the truth.
@Ankit_Quant Talking about "torched vehicles" is rich when on-ground footage literally caught a Delhi Police ASI destroying a car window to pin the blame on students. The frame-up failed because independent journalists documented the entire setup.
@Ankit_Quant Vandals should be dealt with legally, but an institutional force cannot act like a lawless mob. Human rights apply to everyone—including protesters. That is exactly why the Supreme Court intervened, set up an SIT, and explicitly ruled that the police violated laid-down rules.
@Ankit_Quant The idea that there is "no out of bounds response" is the definition of authoritarianism. A democratic state force is strictly bound by law and the principle of proportionality. When police violate their own protocols to use blinding pellet guns on students, they cross that line
@Ankit_Quant "Victims on both sides" cannot be used as a shield to mask systemic brutality. When the Supreme Court explicitly states that police violated laid-down rules and orders a full SIT probe, it’s no longer a symmetric debate—it is a documented overreach of state violence.
@Ankit_Quant Calling police action "justified" is absurd when armored state forces used lethal pellet guns to permanently blind unarmed student protesters. The SC explicitly reprimanded the police, noting they broke protocols & can't lathicharge citizens just for agitating.
In the current US visa appointment shortage saga, H1B/H4 visa stamping appointments are hit the worst!
It's not like there are no appointments, but the appointments for 2026 dates are far too few.
In the last 4 months, we have seen 2026 appointments open up just 4 times, once in 1st week of April, once in 1st week of May and twice in June. All these folks are luckily done with their visas and are back in the US. But there are many who are still waiting!
Many people reach out looking for H1 appointments because they have family emergencies and have to travel to India urgently, but unfortunately, they can't because they will not be able to return to the US without a visa stamp!
No other visa type restricts the mobility of a visa-holder than H1B, no stamp means no leaving the country.
@kirubaakaran AI provides more flexibility for Indians:
1. For India domestic trips along with India-US, intra-US, SE Asia, choose AI
2. Flying blue is primarily preferred for Europe (Paris / Amsterdam) and South America
