12/1927- I’m still debating about Talkies. Giving my character a voice would limit his fame. Should I make Talkies?

[Charlie Chaplin @CChaplin123]

[Charlie Chaplin @CChaplin123]

10/1927- The first “talkie” came out recently. I didn’t like it. I think that it lacked the art of silent films.

[Charlie Chaplin @CChaplin123]

@JohnEdgerHoover I call myself a peacemonger not a communist. Just because I make a movie mocking someone doesn't mean I'm a communist.

[Charlie Chaplin @CChaplin123]

9/1923- My first movie with mostly negative reviews came out recently. This failure hurt my career a lot.
