Kenya and Senegal continue to chart a bold path toward deeper collaboration built on shared values, mutual respect, and a common vision for prosperity. Together with fellow leaders, I joined H.E. President @WilliamsRuto at State House, Nairobi, as he hosted H.E. President @PR_Diomaye of Senegal for bilateral discussions aimed at strengthening the bonds between our two nations.
The two Heads of State reaffirmed their commitment to closer cooperation in key sectors including trade, peace and security, energy, sports, and multilateral engagements. They also agreed to fast-track the establishment of a Joint Cooperation Commission that will help unlock opportunities, ease movement, and remove barriers to trade and investment.
A major highlight of the talks was the agreement to lift visa restrictions between our countries, enabling citizens of Kenya and Senegal to enjoy visa-free travel for up to 90 days. This is a powerful step towards greater people-to-people connections and a more integrated African continent.
