Today's feast of Mary's Queenship is our diocesan patronal feast; Mary's proclamation, about the mighty being toppled from their thrones and the lowly lifted up, gives us hope and is fulfilled in her!

Our Lord is always calling us to something greater, harder, better, more uncomfortable, and sometimes more radical. He invites us to follow Him, without reserve and without fear.

How is He asking you to step out with Him today?

God isn’t this judgmental figure waiting for us to mess up. He looks on us with love as His children. God doesn’t reject us over our messes and spills. If we’re trying to become holy, and if we focus on God’s love and goodness, it’ll be harder for us to be discouraged.

The Scriptures tell us that if we sow sparingly, we will reap sparingly, and that if we sow generously, we will reap generously. When we examine our lives, do we apply this frame? How generous have I been with those most in need and most vulnerable?
