On the afternoon of September 17, 2025, Thai soldiers armed with shields, batons, and weapons continued their incursions into Cambodia by firing tear gas, rubber bullets, and using sound-disrupting devices that damaged hearing, targeting Cambodian civilians in Prey Chan village, O’ Bei Choan commune, Ou Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province. These actions caused injuries to several civilians, including Buddhist monks. Army spokesperson Maj Gen Winthai Suvaree reported that Thailand’s Second Army Region and Cambodia’s 4th Military Region held a meeting.
