Funding Community Emergency Medicine (CEM) presents a challenge. While there are key performance indicators, few reflect the patient-centred approach and tackling health inequity, making it difficult to justify to those with the purse strings. #CEMCon25
Some key stats for frail patients: when advised they do not need hospital, there was a 17% mortality for those who remained at home and 47% for those who elected to attend hospital anyway.
