@AlecTorelli It's simpler than that.
Cravings/impulses on a low level can be tied to a need for:
- Hydration/Calories
- Less stimulation (or more)
- Less stress (or something to do)
Your opponents don't even enjoy anything lol. 8/9 players have their phone (the representation of emotion and stress) between themselves and the chips. Jeez.
If we're not doing it for money, we want to be the dumbest/worse person in the group.
If we're doing it for money, we want to be the second best person in the group.
Game theory supports these conclusions.
Fold more, bluff more.
@espn Taylor (I think on Karue's YouTube) one time told Marcos "stop doing that or I'll serve it out" and then served out and entire game at will cause Marcos giron pissed him off in a practice set. Levels to this shit. Good stuff Fritz.
If you are not at complete peace with both parts of your soul, poker will eventually break you.
If you don't bink 2x in massive fields you will life tilt or bleed it away eventually.
It must be you and yourself against villain. Open your eyes and LOOK. Fold more, bluff more.
@Joeingram1 Vegas getting to you already papi? Live poker in 2025 is literally just a matter of patience. No one truly spazzes all the time anymore but everyone is bad-passive and rake is super high. Honestly quite brutal sometimes and still requires sharp play from us. Doesn't help it's hot
Discipline is when you stop negotiating with yourself for what you want.
Mastery is when you give yourself permission to be randomly brilliant and put ruthless trust in your fundamentals otherwise.
