There’s more people on tech twitter that are obsessed with posting the next new Claude update or MCP update than they are obsessed with their own business.
It’s so much easier to talk about doing the thing, to think about doing the thing, to talk to your friends about all the new updates that could help do the thing, or to talk to other people that are doing the thing.
Very few actually do the thing.
No need to even back down from your original point. What you said about Saas, calling in to your internet company, etc., is exactly the same thing.
Anyone who thinks the customer receiving a discount because the face value price didn't meet their expectations is dense and needs to be out of business.
E-commerce lives off of abandoned cart flows. Billion dollar companies like Klayvio exist due to the value of abandoned transaction outreach/offers.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with offering a discount to someone and then the customer agreeing.
A scam is a falsified offer/delivery of a product or service. Nothing scam related is happening.
In all reality an abandoned transaction offer is nothing more than an online non-verbal negotiation.
Again, if anyone thinks otherwise then they should go focus on something else that's actually within their domain knowledge.
People just like to complain. It's that simple.
Man is made or unmade by himself;
in the armory of thought he forges the weapons by which he destroys himself.
He also fashions the tools with which he builds for himself heavenly mansions of joy, strength, and peace.
@garrytan Imagine if you forgot to buy & left the item in your cart, like 70% of people do. The store’s only hope is that you remember to buy.
The awful “Oops! You forgot something” emails are trash.
Now imagine a friendly (AI) person from their team calls & closes the sale.
