This is just… so silly. What reason does Iran have to appoint The Joker of all people as their ambassador? I hope they have a genuine explanation because it simply doesn’t make sense to me logically in any way.
What we should be focusing on is publishers who are trying to normalize AI writing and pushing it onto readers. We need to cut that shit out and put pressure on them. Either the novels are AI or sloppy, both are deserving of criticism.
Not fanfic writers ffs.
It’s almost impossible to discern between AI and normal people writing. Normal folk don’t study to be able to produce “good writing.”
They read and try to replicate without understanding, then we end up with things that should be right but are wrong in the eyes of a writer.
But those are also traits human writers have and fall into unknowingly.
This pseudo-intellectual stuff about being able to discern between AI and normal fanfic witting is a bunch of nonsense. It helps no one and merely hurts writers, creating paranoia within the community.
@HallOfAthens The topic has been tackled in so many different ways that the only way to dismantle such a shallow judgement is just to read more. It is quite literally pointless to argue. No amount of discussion can equal experiencing the good, the bad, and the very ugly executions for yourself
It is stupid, yeah, objectively so. Yet it has produced some of the greatest stories and characters ever. It’s intentionally jarring and being unable to perceive it as such says more about you than the stories or characters that use it as a foundation.
Just read Batman: The Cult
Legit the only hope we have of knocking out France. England ain’t doing it, Argentina are a 40/60. Spain are mid rn but Lamine has it in him to singlehandedly slay giants
I think I should specify that this isn’t aimed at OP, since they did specify it’s only “at a certain point.” I just wanted to talk about my thoughts and they’re reheating discourse
It creates simple internal conflict, it’s compelling. It’s in-character. Characters can be wrong, otherwise they’d be boring. I have no clue why people treat the concept as inherently bad, when like every other theme or concept in fiction, it’s about execution.
