Congratulations to Karissa Marble-Flint, Co-director, CETARL, and her team, Andrew Bowman, and Mythili Menon, on being awarded the Dollar General Literacy Foundation grant!
The Building Bridges Project is a Literacy and Educational Program for Refugee Families in Wichita, KS.
What can your 501-C-3 do with a $25K grant to fund your latest initiative? @mythmenon and the Center for Educational Technologies to Assist Refugee Learners (CETARL) were able to develop an app to help refugees in Wichita learn English through an Impact on the Plains grant.
Thank you to all of our friends at #education nonprofits working to help our children achieve by inspiring them, through educational games like @WichitaState's CETARL or through free field trips like @ExplorationKS. We applaud you. 👏 #peoplehelpingpeople
The selected programs, which have not been funded by UWP previously, are providing #innovative solutions to some of our community's toughest issues. The creativity demonstrated in our batch of apps was impressive, to say the least. Here our our finalists in #education. (2/4)
