@edit2000du I found it ironic that we are all tweeting information about how we create and save passwords and most of us are using public accounts! I certainly hope no one gave any hackers out there any ideas about how to specifically target them. #2000chat
@AaronW_01 I feel like the fact that you can easily reset a password is kind of a worry. Literally being able to hack a person's email provides someone (potentially) with so much other information, including banking info #2000chat
@KaylaP_05 I agree but it can be hard to remember them and it is not exactly realistic to restrict yourself to a different password for each platform #2000chat
A5.) I have groups of passwords that I use. For all social media they are the same, but for more serious logins I use more complex ones that are often different and change them frequently #2000Chat
A2.) One of the precautions I take to prevent identity theft is having an email adress that is specific to signing up for sites. It is essentially a burner account and I do not use it for my bank information or anything else serious like that #2000Chat
A1.) Online identity is referring to the "digital thumbprint" you live on sites. THe collection of information that you leave online, from you emails, numbers, address, phone numbers, etc. all help to make you online identity #2000Chat
@Victori12980677 @ouredit2000 I completely agree. Tech growth is exponential and only builds upon itself. If we do not raise a generation witha solid understanding of current technology and try to build on that, we will see very little progress #2000chat
A3: I struggle to decipher what the best options to buy are. For example, I recently had to buy a new laptop and the high number of options gave me anxiety. Especially when some of the bigger brands have very overpriced products, idk what the best optionsto go with are #2000chat
@ouredit2000 Information permanence or digital permanence helps us to keep track of what has been said in the past, but this also means that seemingly minor mistakes made online can follow the user forever and have greater consequences #EdChat2000
