@JayyClears A world cup hosted at only college football stadiums would have been ridiculous. Honestly better venues, outside of not being indoors during summer heat for games like Dallas/Houston/Atlanta.
@JeauFCB@Ellis_ right lol - we have 100+ stadiums with more than 50k people just for college football alone. 60 to 70% of those hosting games each saturday. Yet something that happened in a neighborhood nowhere logically close to the English camp, and everyones panties are in a wad.
@theunitedl63651@_captainpulisic That's our issue - you haven't even seen the pitches used for the world cup yet. Complaints came from a game hosted and controlled by the english FA in a stadium that isn't hosting anything after the friendly and mad that we aren't going to provide great facilities?
@USMNTBaldEagle They are just a bunch of crying toddlers. "its too hot", "the pitch isnt good" "there's no culture" "the stadium infrastructure is bad"
English playing in shacks disguised as bleachers in 95% of their stadiums that are worse than my HS i played at
@WRSX_WFC@StozUTB@NewtonJedi better atmosphere than Kyle Field? hell im an aggie hater, but damn this is a stupid take.
here's a high school stadium ... maybe you'd like to argue about this one? Still better than your shacks that make up 98% of uk stadiums
@Joshuad4045@B_____W_ im a fan of football by what its called on both sides of the pond, but there's like 4 or 5 stadiums in the UK that are quality. There's history and such, but come on... you can't tell me there's not 20+ great facilities in the US per each "quality" one there?
@JLoweSnipes22 I took the bait and replied too many times, and now its just a bunch of brits crying like toddlers on my feed yapping it's too hot in the US.
@jordan65980785@FarAwayFootball@adrianjones1975@terribletiffy12 i dont care if its soccer or football, but we we're sure as hell not the ones that came up with the name and then used it as its normal sport title until roughly the 80's. The same time the NFL became one of the strongest brands, and football was the normal term here.
@DavidSuslenskiy@mer2475 Her simple mind would explode on a college football saturday in early september. What would she cry about first? The temps being over 32c, or the 100k people in a college town?
lol lack of infrastructure... they have to shut the city down when there's a game at wembley ๐คฃ
@WhatTheForkAVFC nah - we're just tired of you toddlers complaining that its too hot, times aren't good, or that we like to drive cars/trucks to games. Brits are the most arrogant and biggest cry babies I've ever seen
If Iโve learned anything heading into the World Cup, itโs that English fans turn into absolute toddlers talking about weather, pitches, stadiums, or anything to do with the USMNT #worldcup
Itโs a shame what happened to what used to be a great group to talk about games with
@ESPNInsights Men played well. Optimism heading into Friday
Women played terribly. But good experience in next years host and have a chance to bounce back Tuesday
