Standout USC sophomore DT Jahkeem Stewart won’t play this week against San Jose State with a foot injury, coach Lincoln Riley said.
But Riley said he thinks Stewart will be back the next week against Fresno State.
“It’s certainly not long term,” Riley said.
QB Ethan Hampton had his helmet today but for the period I watched practice, the last hour and a half, he did not throw a football.
Anderson said no starting QB decision has been made, and that Hampton’s injury “took a little longer than we thought,”

Miami (OH)'s quarterback competition between Thomas Gotkowski and David McComb was ultimately decided by injury.
