The knicks stopped over helping on the roll and basically just played normal drop on the wemby PnR

3 and 4 assist for them both and 1 and 0 2nd half.

I do think fox sees less assist production than castle. reason being is with him being guarded by OG/Alvarado/Shamet we should see them comfortable in letting them play 1 on 1.

I see low assist for fox.

I don't see wemby productive here. The physicality from kat on his isolation but also kats drop coverage and the tag from the backside defender in PnR I don't really like.

4/13 fga but 8/9 fts. I don't see this as a productive day from wemby

Finals Game 1 Breakdown 🏆 🏀

-First breakdown ever. Hope yall like it ❤️

-Going to be super interesting series that has room for multiple adjustments almost every game similar to OKC/SA.

-One thing I’ll be watching and everyone will is how SA chooses matchup on defense. Will Wemby start on KAT or will he roam off Hart. I suspect he will at least start on Hart and roam. Just makes the most sense and make hart knock them down to start. If hart is left wide open obviously love his props but not + money anymore value is likely gone. Think they need his rebounding but also love the value on McBride/Shamet if he doesn’t shoot well to start the game. Have to try and spread Wemby out.
-Low on KAT scoring but like his assists chances if a small is on him. Knicks send some doubles when they do that. for game 1 and higher on Brunson actually. I expect more coverage like Shai got games 3-7 last series more 1 on 1 and tough mid range jumpers. Just don’t trust the efficiency of these tough shots to play it yet. Want to see a game first. Think Mikal is in good spot as well with Fox likely hiding on him and he’s injured. No read on OG.

-For Spurs offense. Same cat and mouse no pun intended. What will the Knicks do with KAT. Will he start on Wemby or will OG take that assignment. I actually lean KAT will start on Wemby so they don’t show the OG card too soon but we’ll see. Likely why it’s stay away until after game 1 for Wemby scoring/threes. If KAT guards Wemby don’t be shocked to see 2 quick dumb fouls. Another reason for Kat unders.

-Think we see OG on Fox in that scenario but if not it’ll be Mikal. Why I’m on Fox unders just think he’ll have it super tough being injured still too. We already played champagine and still love the 9.5 or threes at + money. Brunson will have to be the choice he hides on or KAT if he decides to roam off Wemby. Either way should be involved. Could also see KAT on castle possibly. Again, not knowing makes it a stay away but might be a live angle to attack if so. Clearly the spurs worst shooter. Also high on Kornett. Think he can play more in this series especially earlier on.

-Like spurs to cover and win outright tonight too. Then want to buy on Knicks to win series imo.

Two games where these teams faced off each other.

One game was with josh hart and one game wasn't.

G1: 5/10, 2/5 3PA, 20 points(without)
G2: 5/9, 0/1 3PA, 12 points(with josh)

the difference is Wemby guarding Josh hart when he was in. This put castle on kat and we know how that goes when a forward is on kat rather than a center.

Expecting wemby to roam in the paint letting hart shoot which would then limit kats success.

Also expecting these teams to run which does create more possessions but less half court sets which could then lead to stuff for kat.

biggest differential here. Knicks offense is too loaded to NOT win here. Spurs were held in check majority of that spurs thunder game.
