THE END OF SEASON REALITY CHECK:
Finishing 10th and missing out on Eropean football entirely is a clinical reflection of our entire 2025/26 season.
Here is a clinical breakdown on why the season imploded before a ball was even kicked and what Xabi Alonso inherits on July 1st.🧵
@SS____899 If we could get Kroupi and Leao it's good business and they can both play on the wing and in the half-space, but my only problem with Leao is his work rate whixh is why I prefer Rogers
Claiming Chelsea were 'lucky' in 2021 sounds really funny bro. Lets take away emotions and be logical
Chelsea outplayed City and dominated the xG (1.25 xG to Citys 0.57 xG). Tuchel used a 3-4-2-1 structure whixh completely neutralized Peps system and suffocated their build-up lines so effectively that City was restricted to a single shot on target across 90 minutes.
Meanwhile Chelsea generated the highest big chances — Werner's early miss, Havertz's opener and Pulisic's second half miss. City were literally carved open by Cjelsea at every counter attack opportunity. It was never luck, it was a tactical masterclass in rest defense execution and transitional dominance.
I knew it was only a matter of time before they’d commit themselves, how do you show up to a final and play like that , same thing with Chelsea vs city, only thing is Chelsea were lucky !
@SebC__ Spot on
You can't boast to be a modern day Mourinho team with average players in attack
Mourinho Chelsea team had a pure balance of Defence,Midfield and Attack!
It sounds funny comparing the 1930 World Cup to the ICFC. The 1930 World Cup was organized directly by FIFA as an official world championship. The ICFC was a trade exhibition tournament that UEFA refuses to recognize in their official history.
And yes Chelsea competed in the 1970/71 European Cup Winners Cup and won against Real Madrid, we earned our place by winning the 1970 FA Cup. We were not invited, it was a UEFA tournament for domestic cup champions. Dont compare an official continental crown to a commercial exhibition.
FYI by 2000 Chelsea had already won 2 European cup winners cup, 1971 against Real Madrid and 1978 against Stuttgart
1 UEFA super cup 1998 against Real Madrid again
3 FA Cups 1970,1997 and 2000
2 League Cups 1965 and 1998
1 first division championship 1955
Chelsea won an European trophy nearly two decades before Arsenal ever lifted one in the modern era 1994. And talking about culture have you heard of the 'The Chelsea Boys' in the 60s and 70s lol
Bringing up an 'inferiority complex' while crying under a post about a trophy your club has never touched in its entire existence is an elite level of irony😂 Stick to the facts next time
You can tell Chelsea have an inferiority complex when it comes to Arsenal. For all those trophies, they still don’t have the biggest fanbase in London, their fans have zero emotional connection to the club and they had barely any history pre-2005 or cultural impact
The fact that you have to sprint back to 1970 to flex the ICFC😭
A cup UEFA doesnt recognize as an official European honour. It was non-UEFA tournament where clubs got invited based on whether their city hosted trade fairs not football merit. Early editions featured a 'London XI' combo team including players from Arsenal and Chelsea playing together. Sorry😁
Lets be factual here, blaming rest completely ignores the reality of what happened on the pitch tonight. A Champions League final demands tactical flexibility and proactive possession and yet Arsenals approach after the 6th minute was entirely passive.
The match statistic doesn't lie, PSG completely suffocated the pitch with 75% possession and fired 21 shots. Vitinha commanded the midfield and dictated tempo at will while Arsenals midfield failed to sustain any real sequence of ball circulation with 69% passing accuracy.
Dropping into a low block and relying purely on emergency defending from Saliba and Gabriel is a highly unstable strategy. Once Kvara won the penalty and Dembele equalized Arsenal completely lacked the technical quality to shift gears or tilt the balance back. PSG didnt win because of a rest advantage they won because their positional structure completely choked out Arsenals build up.

Let‘s be honest the only reason PSG won is because they had more rest. Arsenal are the better team overall. The two best this season were Bayern and Arsenal. It‘s hard when you have to play against a Dembele, Kvara etc who played 10 league games all season
Well done Arsenal on losing the Champions League Final @Arsenal
You don't play like this in a final and expect to win
Congratulations to deserved champions PSG @PSG_English 👏

Mourinho was available, but City chose Maresca.
Mourinho was available, but Liverpool decided to not sign him, despite Slot was under performing.
But the “wildly run” Real Madrid are the ones that signed Mourinho.
Why? 🤔
