⚠️ A Sheffield man has praised Andy Burnham's new Google Maps fuel price feature after managing to save a whopping £1.60 on a tank of petrol! 😲
33 year old Phillip Patel spotted a petrol station selling fuel 4p a litre cheaper than his local garage and immediately made the 3 mile journey to fill up his tank!
After completing the 6 mile round trip, the delighted motorist worked out that he'd spent 95p on petrol getting there and back, leaving him with a net saving of 65p! 🥂
To celebrate his newfound wealth, Phil treated himself to a Freddo bar. A luxury purchase he admits he probably wouldn't have made had it not been for the Fuel Map.
I know people are worried about fuel prices. And I get it. You get to the pump, watch the numbers climb, and wonder why it's costing so much more than it used to.
The reality is that global events are pushing up costs, and families here at home are feeling the impact.
But I won't accept that there's nothing I can do to help.
That's why from today, you'll be able to see petrol and diesel prices on Google Maps, compare nearby stations and find the cheapest option before you fill up.
It's a small change, but if there's a practical way to help people keep more money in their pocket, I'll do it.
@andyburnham They’ll increase the costs of flights to cover this. Sort the country out instead of fucking around with shite like this. Idiot. You’re an embarrassment.
@ffscurt Show someone those stats without knowing the score and nobody guesses 2-1 Cheltenham. Conversion rate to chances created is awful for what weve spent on strikers over 2 seasons
@ChesterfieldFC Dont think I've seen a more one sided game 27 shots 11 on target and 1 goal it's a worrying stat to say its the best weve played all season.
@ChesterfieldFC@bannerjones Bloke worked his bollocks off today and deserved the goal he got and could of had another. Does the dirty work some fans dont appreciate 👏
@CalmAndCritical Can't fault that. Can remeber going to Dover to draw 0-0 after they'd been battered for 7 games before that game. One game doesn't change a season. You'll still be up there when april/may comes around
@gavgray Fitness for you lot was a big issue today. But that's the 3rd time weve come off the pitch today where the opposition look dead on their feet and one of those was a defeat to fleetwood. I dont disagree that you were below standard I've watched a few of your games and know you can
@gavgray Play better but I think we just had more of an edge 2nd half. Restricted your chances and created our own. Theres not many teams can say they've given Pearce absolutely nothing to go at but we managed it today. I always say with us that we'll have to score two to win a game
@gavgray Come on gav, I'll say you had the better or the first half with not much to show but 3md half we were a step above we created chances and limited you to absolutely nothing second half. Kept banks quiet 2nd half which was the danger first half and scored 2 good goals.
