“It defies belief that Labour and the SNP won’t drill our own oil and gas in the North Sea when independent reports have found there are billions of barrels lying untapped," said Kemi Badenoch as new research indicates untapped North Sea oil could fuel Britain for four years.

Sadiq Khan’s £12.50-a-day ULEZ tax on drivers has not improved London air quality as much as he claims, new figures show.
The Mayor credited the world’s largest clean air zone with bringing harmful nitrogen dioxide (NO2) levels across the capital within legal limits for the first time in 2024, claiming roadside NO2 in outer London is now 24% lower than it would have been without ULEZ.
However, analysis of official local authority monitoring data reveals that more than half of London’s boroughs are still recording illegal annual average NO2 levels above the 40 µg/m³ legal limit.
At least 18 individual monitoring stations, including one in the centre of Romford recording almost twice the legal limit and several in the City of London (which has had ULEZ for seven years) remain in breach.
ULEZ generated a record £219 million in revenue last year.
Professor Frank Kelly, a leading air quality expert, said: “When you look at a lot of these other monitors… we’re exceeding legal limits.” Asthma + Lung UK has called for urgent action to address the discrepancies between Defra’s modelling and denser local authority data.
Rachel Reeves' 78% North Sea tax faces fresh scrutiny
This comes as BP explores a £2bn asset sale.
Reeves and Miliband are effectively destroying the UK's energy security, placing us at increasing risk of price shocks by relying on imported energy.
Why can't we drill on our doorstep, I ask?
If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, tax it some more. When it stops moving, nationalise it and let the taxpayers fund it.
'The number of new cancer cases went up with each booster vaccine.'
Consultant Medical Oncologist, Professor Angus Dalgleish details the evidence he gave when addressing the U.S. Senate on Covid vaccine harms and their possible links to cancer.
The EV has a "limited customer base" but it is limited and so so many I know are moving away from EV's and back to quality Petrol and Diesel because it works. Dealers just cant sell used EV's and make any money and servicing is a problem with EV's due to the complexity if there is a problem. Hybrids are not great and can even start on their own I believe if the battery level drops. Not good if being MOT tested at the time. I will never, never buy an EV because it does not even come close to suiting my needs and that covers cars, vans and motorcycles
This is some level of coping 😂😂😂
Only yesterday this crank organisation was saying EV sales were soaring. Maybe the vile abuse they received from their Reform voting sheep and their owners made them change their stance.
Pathetic organisation.
Got this Macan T as a courtesy car. After hearing the F12 this sounds incredibly puny indeed!! Ive subsequently learned it’s a 2.0 Tubro 4 pot with 260bhp. Has four exhaust tail pipes but it doesn’t feel like a £70k Porsche to me. Sorry Porsche.
Battery vehicles are bigger purely because they are a battery with a car built round them. They are also heavier and if you don’t have a large battery you don’t have any range of travel. Kick out the EV's which will become a problem especially with "skipping ropes" as they all need to charge
SUVs have launched an assault on our future.
These oversized, high-emission vehicles are choking our cities, fuelling the climate crisis, and putting all of us in danger. 🚙💨
If we don’t act soon, we’ll all be under their wheels.
‘Trying to be the guy who delivered net zero.’
Opposition Assistant Whip Harriet Cross criticises Ed Miliband, saying he should make a difference by allowing Britain to use its own gas rather than importing it at a higher carbon rate.
Lord Frost on the madness of Ed’s “build more of everything” net zero madness.
“You can’t reduce enemy prices by Adding more of the very technology that increases the cost. More of everything just multiplies the cost of the most expensive and complicated part of the bill!
So ‘build more of everything’ is not a strategy. It’s a refusal to be intellectually honest. What is necessary is not layering on more and more renewables but halting renewables altogether before anymore damage is done”
Sense over ideology 🔥
Ed Miliband has signed the UK up to a legally binding 87% CO2 emissions cut by 2040. Paul Homewood says this can only be achieved by the devastation of industry and sharp cuts in the standard of living. Read his article in the Climate Skeptic. https://t.co/bGOg3zigaP
Watching @TalkTV this morning and @mrmarkdolan and I believe the Police today have the selection process all wrong as well as the training / indoctrination. Back in 1980 I was a accepted for the Police(never actually happened due to cadet intake) but had to do two written examinations (which I passed), a full medical, and pass an interview with the chief constable which lasted 90 minutes. It was so clear they did not want officers with extreme views then and my passion was Police Traffic and in particular Motorcycles but it was explained I would have to go through normal duties and training before "specialising". I worry that with DEI and many other "quotas" that the whole system has gone wrong and maybe, just maybe we need to scrap the lot and start again in my view. Bring back people like @PeterBleksley and I know so many good honest officers(now retired) in their 60's now who could turn this around. Right now trust is gone and that has to change and our government take their heads out of the sand
Andy Burnham actually gloated about making his Mayoral tax the highest in the country.🤦🏼♂️
The Precept tax is ON TOP of Council Tax.
Quote:
“I have raised taxes in Greater Manchester”
“If you look at my mayoral precept, it's significantly higher than anyone else's.”
Makerfield, please do us all a favour, vote Reform and keep this tax and spend wastrel well away from national government.
🔋Battery electric vehicle (BEV) uptake increased 34.2% to take 27.3% of the market, the highest recorded so far in 2026.
🚗The uplift reflects both expanding model choice and sustained competition, particularly in the electric vehicle market where substantial manufacturer discounting continues to play a significant role in driving uptake.
🔌Government support, including the Electric Car Grant, has also helped stimulate demand, alongside rising consumer interest amid wider economic and geopolitical uncertainty.

With the demise of the IPCC's extreme RCP8.5 climate scenario, any remaining reason to pursue Net Zero has vanished – and even Tony Blair has started to notice, says meteorologist Andrew Sibley. https://t.co/xh1CXKYT7z
Then who is buying these electric "chocolate teapots" because I and everyone I know is not. In fact one colleague and land lord of ours has just sold his Lotus electric (at a massive loss) because its range was no where near what he needed and gone to a Rolls Royce full Petrol .
Some will buy electric yes, some will find it suits them but I and so so many say will stick with Petrol and Diesel because it works! Miliband can "do one" as far as I am concerned. No wonder this country is on a knife edge, we are run by idiots we really are in my view
The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders have warned Miliband’s new Net Zero targets are not credible after the so-called carbon budget implied electric vehicle sales need to triple in just three years.
More pie in the sky targets from Miliband.
