Proud to share these safety milestones achieved in June:
-Donaldsonville: 4 years without a lost time injury
-Port Neal: 1,000 days and 1.5M labor hours without a recordable injury
My colleague Amanda Pascavage says, “Our rail partners responded well to the changing environment & operations were not impacted by the virus. We had safe & reliable service with improved transit times allowing us to serve our own customers during a critical supply time of year.”
Adding supplemental nitrogen to corn is always a tough decision in terms of ROI....this article gives you all the answers! Don't sleep on nitrogen https://t.co/j65DJKFFF3
#DYK CF’s manufacturing processes are not waste-intensive compared to other industrial processes & nearly all of our sites are small quantity generators as defined by the EPA. We also have active waste management programs at all our facilities. Learn more: https://t.co/S5EFMRha68
We continue to grow CF’s UAN participation in South America with increased logistical options in Uruguay. Good partners make the difference

Big addition for @CFIndustries in Hanford, CA. Very pleased to be able to offer #UAN by truck to our customers California Central Valley. Trucks are rolling!
This past week I have watched, marched with and listened to the Black Lives Matter movement. As I ponder changes, I commit myself to be a positive, inclusive and open person and hope the same for CF and our industry.
NOAA 6-10 day forecasts suggest temps will cool a bit in Midwest after current warm stretch, perfect for sidedress & topdress activity, which are underway & will kick into top speed. With ample moisture available in soil profile, Midwest growing season is off to a good start
Ethanol production increased by 61,000 bpd this week to 724,000 bpd. This is the 4th increase in production after 8 weeks of production declines. A “U” bottom has been formed.
My friend & colleague, Tomas Pitt, says, “My job during the pandemic is challenging due to the volatile global market with unstable ocean freights & prices. Despite the challenges, CF keeps growing our presence in Latin America with UAN & urea with the help of family & friends.”

The #Parana River @ its lowest in 50-Years, increasing number of ships running aground and limiting cargo intake to be shipped onboard. Water level @ #Rosario is 0.82M (on scale of Zero as reference) against normal May median of 3.68M (@ReutersAg)
There’s never such a thing as a “normal” spring as Mother Nature proves again and again. High water on the Illinois River is currently preventing barge inbounds but our logistics flexibility allows us to move product other ways and to serve customers as #plant20 progresses.
From the Archives: Late 1970s view of the now-closed Olean Nitrogen Complex in New York. CF operated the site's upgrade plants from 1971-1983 under contract, and never owned the facility. In fact, the upgrade plants we ran and the ammonia plant were owned by different companies.
My CF colleague and friend, Scott Duesing says, “Spring season in the Canadian Prairies is moving in with all CF terminals helping our customers get products to growers. I’ll be by the phone keeping up, but the hard part is sometimes I need to help with a homework problem.”
Today's @USDA#WASDE report confirms our expectations for the year ahead: strong planted corn acres in the U.S. (our estimate 92-94M acres) and uncertainty in the second half as the industry sorts through the economic impacts from the pandemic. https://t.co/AKBZ7jRAnC
