When talking to a loved one with an addiction, you have to remember that you have a history with them. You are emotionally involved. Their ego defences will be up with you.

They need a neutral 3rd party like a 12 step group or a therapist to talk to them.

This is a central challenge in couples #recovery from porn #addiction.

Some people make you into their villain and scapegoat. They pick on your mistakes because they don’ t want to look at themselves.

Get out of their stories. They are making you sick. They are narcissists.

Make your own story and cast yourself as the Hero instead.

#Sex addiction is very lonely and isolated. Its more like a drug than any sort of relationship.

Its possible to build a healthy sex life after #pornaddiction.

The key is being sober long enough to reset your arousal template. And to be resilient, because its not going to work right away and there will be some failures. That’s normal.
