Interpreting requests reasonably matters!
Recent decisions remind authorities to take a broad, reasonable view of FOI requests. Interpreting requests too narrowly can mean relevant info is missed – leading to further searches, reviews and appeals.

Horrendous air pollution in villages around the Ladybank site last night with smoke increasing into homes.

Potholes: BBC’s FoI requests show councils in Scotland paid out £2,029,045 for pothole-related vehicle damage. Concerning that data only provided by 25 out of 32 councils! On average, only 22% of claims were successful, less than British average of 24%. https://t.co/hzPHx3eU95
