“A political vendetta.” That’s what #NASCAR driver Mike Wallace feels is the reason for why he was approved, then not approved to run the 2025 #Daytona500.
Mike thinks him being invited to the @WhiteHouse for President Trump’s inauguration was used against him by NASCAR.
@TeamKFBfan8@braleecald891@joe_srigley Never understood the hatred for the man.
He hardly had a flaw. Let’s be honest. I just don’t get it and never have.
@Lynprovising@TripleR_025 Could’ve been. Can’t remember the specifics anymore.
As a die-hard Elliott fan 2007 rejuvenated me so I cherished every race like it was the last.
So it broke my heart a little when he stepped out. But Boris did well. They needed a good run for top-35.
@DonderLeNasHawk What a fun weekend this was. Bill drove up to third at one point and then started to experience something with the steering of the car and decided to back off and take it easy.
Then was involved in a wreck on a frontstretch which broke my heart in the grandstands.
@TripleR_025@Lynprovising Yeah Bill Elliott practiced and qualified the car that weekend but Boris missed in the (45 car?) and Bill stepped aside on Sunday to let Boris run because he felt Boris would do a much better job.
@STaranto92 And the gap between the top Xfinity teams and the bottom Xfinity teams is far wider today than it was back then.
Big teams today have Cup affiliation. There were still some Busch only teams that were able to compete for wins and run well in the points back then.
@STaranto92 Go down the Xfinity series and find me a guy who is there without money today.
Wasn’t the case in 2006. There’s always been pay to play but not like today.
