@FrMCDallman I am curious how you understand what is “not” sacramental or at least how the Eucharist or baptism are more sacramental? A different way of phrasing the question is what makes a Sacrament different from seeing the creation as sacramental?
@daschnauzer90@IVMiles Yeah I don’t know how to draw a clear through line with all of it. One thing I will say is that many life events have been a part of it which are somewhat separate from like a straightforward change of position on specific theological or ecclesial doctrines.
@daschnauzer90@IVMiles I am an elder in the PCA. I have just been texting with Tom and Trevor. I think we will try and get a few new episodes in before the school year starts. I appreciate you reaching out!
@_AndrewTucker@brandon_d_smith I did the time trial route in the Alps one summer and could barely do it when I was in pretty good biking shape. It was so much fun, and I was done after 2 days riding around the mountains. I can't imagine 3 weeks. I also didn't blood dope, so there's that.
I have had several pairs of
@The_FRYECompany@FryeBoots boots and bags. Great quality, last forever. I tried to buy a new pair of boots and got the wrong size. All I want is an exchange and they are refusing. Any recommendations for a company who makes quality leather boots?
@j_rhett We ask, "where did you go to school" in St. Louis, but we mean, "where did you go to high school?" It is a social status question about your family and your roots in your part of the city/county.
@jamesrwoodtheo What is this from? I am doing an ecumenical event with 3 seminaries in St. Louis (Lutheran, Presby, and Catholic). Be curious to read it.
@IVMiles The evangelicals ministers I know are too worried about context and the languages to know anything about philosophy which seems a bigger problem to me.
@suzania Something I’ve thought about with elderly family members is whether this technology is also disproportionately impactful on the elderly. I.e. some of those issues aren’t just problems for how we raise our children.
@IVMiles I’d be curious where con presbys doing a pol Phil degree went to church at first and wanted to continue in that church during or after that degree.
@NadyaWilliams81@JamesWHankins1 I was downsized at SLU as the oldest Jesuit university West of the Mississippi has cut Greek and Latin entirely. Commitment to the Classics is the domain of conservative leaning unis and secondary schools. Liberals and Progressives like SLU don't know what classics are for.
