From 8th November 2023, nitrous oxide (NOS) is becoming a Class C drug. It will be illegal to be in possession of nitrous oxide from today.
There will be some exceptions for people who use NOS in their work, like culinary or medical staff.

For an opiate overdose, there are a few main symptoms to look out for:
- You can't wake them up
- They've stopped breathing
- They are snoring deeply or making gurgling noises
- There is a blue tinge to their lips and nails
