ML407 in full D-Day markings painted on with rollers and brushes as done 74 years ago for Johnnie Houlton DFC to fly his Spitfire on the Overlord (D-Day) battle where they shot down the first enemy aircraft on D-Day at Omaha Beach. We, with ML407 honour those who saved so many.

33 years ago today I sat in our Spitfire ML407, with Nick in front ready to fly the first flight after his 5 year restoration -Richard was 9 months old -this photo shows Richard about to fly me 25 years on same date to commemorate his fathers achievement
September 2004, with ML407’s Merlin engine at full power and me at full concentration, I had the honour of flying in formation with The Red Arrows for a photo shoot + 3 flypasts at Scampton
Me entering a loop in 1994 not pulling too hard so I do not black out, due to G forces, but hard enough to fly a good loop in formation with camera ship which was being flown by the truly incredibly talented Pete Kynsey with John Dibbs on camera who did do a brill job!!
