@umbshow@ErnstKrogtoft (2/2) and having grown up on -early- MP simulations in the 8-bit world, I was thrilled to see them try something new. Those two titles a bit through rose colored glasses for me - even though they do have their flaws.
@umbshow@ErnstKrogtoft Of all of the MP/MPS labs games of this vintage, Bloodnet might be the most fascinating one to me, personally. I guess it’s considered more of an RPG? Which makes sense. I played that and Return of the Phantom pretty close together…(1/2)
I’ve always wondered about the adventure games out of early ‘90s era MicroProse. Turns out, @ErnstKrogtoft did an excellent blog entry on just that. https://t.co/s8TMWS98eO
@ben_304 I’m partial to the one in the upper right, and if you don’t believe me, there’s a @umbshow episode to prove it! 🙃. Some true gems in there, though!
@Vokabre Great question. Assuming you’re going out an overwing exit, on the wing where you and other pax aren’t going to step works great. Get rid of it so it doesn’t impede your movement. Adrenaline is probably sky high at that point, so give it a good heave if need be!
@dosnostalgic I put the VGA Members Only jacket on a few days ago for Bananoid, 688 Attack Sub and Wolfpack 😎 Had some sound issues in DOSBox with the latter. I had -no- idea Wolfpack was a Novalogic game, had a CD-ROM re-release in ‘94, or how much CGW hated it when it came out.
@solomonmissouri Strong agree! They are such different movies, more so than many of the other celebrated original/sequel pairs. But they’re both magnificent.
