Just finished my newsletter on TEXAS Women's Suffrage, two years before the nation. Want to know more? Go to https://t.co/2oto8CjAtI and click on the Free Newsletter button. It's the lead article.
Thomas Aquinas defined greed as “a quest for the infinite.”
Matthew Fox wrote: “creativity…the authentic experience of the infinite.”
Discovered these messages while reading for a dolphin-themed spiritual allegory regarding greed that I’m writing.
Heard around Writing Circle: A member announced her trip to Africa. Someone else chimed in about Jodi Picoult's book about elephants. Memories spun out about Queen Tut, the mama elephant who reigned from 1920's to 1964 at Forest Park Zoo.

We finished up "Midsummer Memoir Workshop" Saturday with a strong "gaggle" of gals mining their histories for the story or stories to write, theirs or their family's. I loved the eagerness they followed some goofy exercises, but doing it eagerly and experiencing the results.
@CalltoActivism Go girl go! You're the kind of woman I write about...women back in the day and in Texas, I have to say. I'm thrilled for you, me and the country!

Heard around our @WritingCircles: "The law of the universe is 'thought first and then expression.' Never the reverse., Metaphysics writer @Emmet Fox said. Good advice for those attending MidSummer Memoir Workshop Saturday.

Oh, just musing about some quotations I've found while preparing for my MidSummer Memoir Workshop July 20.
This quotation is so key: "Believe you have something to say." Don't we really need to start there? Info on the zoom workshop is at https://t.co/2oto8Cj2Ea Check it out.
Excited about the MIDSUMMER MEMOIR workshop I'll be teaching. Jotting down memories, finding a path to follow, looking for the nuances. We'll do all that and more Saturday, July 20 10 am. Do join. It's fun. More at https://t.co/x2OGFWtTDp
A nifty quote from Ernest Hemingway:
“There is no friend as loyal as a book.”
If he hadn't used the word "loyal" I'd quibble with
that sentiment. Loyalty conjures up an "always there" image for me and people just can't do that aways. Hmmm. And yet, books are great companions.
As a writing teacher, let me share one of my favorite quotes:
¨ “No one can expect to write well who will not first take the risk of writing badly.” Phillip Lopate
