Being coachable is the biggest predictor of long term success in sports and life. It means hearing feedback and applying it without letting your ego get in the way.

Most people waste energy defending themselves instead of using it to get better. Mental toughness is the ability to receive instruction without falling apart under pressure.

If you want to be elite learn to listen first and turn every rep into a chance to improve, not a chance to prove something.
