@BBCr4today@BBCSimonJack And how was this immense sacrifice rewarded ? The staff were forced to fight for a fair & reasonable wage. The mandatory requirement to support staff was quietly removed. All of the psychological support firmly chipped and removed.
@louise_crosby this is at QEH Woolwich. My Dad was admitted with a broken back & now has wet gangrene due to systemic nursing failures. No one wants to address this. Meanwhile?
My dads foot is rotting. #corrdorcare#NHS#Nursing#nursingnotes#healthcare
@bentravisceo my dad was admitted to QEH woolwich with a broken back. He now has wet gangrene due to medical / nursing systemic failure. This isn't the first time either. This is appalling. He will die from this #NHS#corridorcare#healthcare
This year, like every year, Iโm working clinically on Christmas Day. Thousands of doctors and other NHS staff are working, like other frontline public service providers, to keep the country safe and ticking over while most people enjoy the day with family and friends ๐
Merry Christmas! Just another juvenile delinquent heading into work on Christmas Day. Wishing everyone, including our health secretary, @WesStreeting, a lovely Christmas. ๐๐๐
17+ hrs in a&e with my poor dad. Double lumbar fractures & still no comfortable bed for him. Weโve moved from the corridor now so there is that. Staff are doing an amazing job in impossible situ #nhs#nhscuts#MerryChristmas2025
Over the last 17 ish hrs in a&e Iโve seen 2 very poorly mental health patients have huge crisis & be treated with care & dignity. But make no mistake the #nhs is in a dire situation. #MerryChristmas to all of the hardworking staff
@LBC@HenryRiley1 Currently going into 17 hrs in a&e with my frail dad. The staff are doing an impossible job. No beds people in corridors. Nick shut up & go and volunteer for a shift. The things they are dealing with !!!
Spent the last 16 hours in a&e at QEH with my frail elderly dad. The staff here are doing an impossible job. You can see what 14 years of cuts have done. Corridor โcareโ and the fact that there are no beds. @bentravisceo your staff are amazing but this situation is dire.
@bananatransit@Xeon4f145d96s1@wesstreeting If only efficient & speedy emotional support was available to them โฆ oh hang on. So there is MUCH that can be done actually.
@carolvorders Yes. Leave it outside your bedroom & grab an old style alarm clock. The blue light from the screen & the content of what you look at stimulates your brain and wakes you up. Remove the temptation ๐
Since we founded in 2020, Frontline19 has provided free counselling & psychological support to over a million NHS and frontline workers.
Every life lost to suicide is an avoidable tragedy.
A shocking 1 in 4 NHS workers have considered suicide, this situation cannot go on.
We're working hard to change things, but whatever challenges they face, we are here for those who need us.
Together, weโre stronger on #WorldSuicidePreventionDay
