Runway Agent on @runwayml is officially here.
As part of the CPP, I had the chance to test it before launch. This is one of the videos I created with it.
What surprised me most: it doesn’t feel like using a tool. It feels like directing a creative partner through the whole process.
This is a real shift for AI filmmaking.

This thread is an absolute masterclass, PJ.
What struck me most isn’t just the technical execution (v7 → 8.1 workflow, hero shots + Nano Banana as Photoshop, final grain, real audio), but the underlying philosophy: treating AI as “wet clay” and spending 11 months building a world where 90% of the work will never even be seen on screen.
That’s exactly what separates real art from a flashy tech demo. Most creators are still hunting for the perfect prompt. Gossip Goblin understood early that the real leverage is in everything the audience doesn’t see.
Question for you and @Gossip_Goblin : now that the tools are basically democratized and the playing field is leveling, what do you think becomes the next true differentiator? Pure narrative depth, or even deeper obsession with the invisible details of the world?
Thank you for sharing this seriously heavy stuff.
@c_valenzuelab That’s the exciting part. As creators, we’re not just learning new tools. We’re trying to understand the grammar of a medium that is still being born.
@runwayml The “creative partner” part is real. It feels less like prompting a tool and more like directing a full video workflow through a conversation.
@Elektrikkka Even my own followers who actually like my content miss it. The algorithm is wild lately. This is why I’m getting so frustrated and thinking the Premium subscription doesn’t help much anymore 😔
Even people who follow me and are genuinely interested in my content don’t see it… It’s getting really frustrating.
I’m starting to think paying for the X subscription isn’t worth it anymore, unfortunately 😕
