@flossiebeachcl1@ghost_fishinguk Hi guys, drop us a line at ghost fishing Uk (email on website). We have some big heavy duty net that might suit hammocks - it’s the wrong material for recycling. You can have it if it’s any good…
We're delighted here at Ghost Fishing UK to see Ally Mitchell of @PotsOcean going from strength to strength, turning lost fishing nets found on beaches and shipwrecks and reefs, into award winning plant pots.

Swim along underwater with our volunteer diver & operations officer @Fred_GFUK and take a look at the gill net we were called in to deal with.

UPSETTING PICTURES
@Natures_Voice beautiful diving cormorants captured in gill net strewn across a wreck and drifting.
We’ve removed the net, but we were too late for these poor things.
@MirrorPolitics This is becoming a very dangerous world for women. Men should have no say at all. Funny how they spout these opinions, safe in the knowledge they will never experience pregnancy or labour. Disgusting waste of oxygen he is.
@YourFishingNews@ghost_fishinguk Thank you so much for sharing this. Very excited to be able to recover lost gear sooner than ever before. Here's one guy who got his gear back after our northern team of divers freed it from the wreck; about 20 creels. We don't accept payment; just happy to help.
@seafishuk Thank you so much for sharing this! We are already getting genuine reports from fishermen about lost gear. This image shows what can be achieved by working together. Our northern based team recovered a huge string of creels and the guy who lost them, got them back.
Super proud to have created this form to allow fishermen to report lost ghost gear to @ghost_fishinguk
We can now retrieve it quicker than ever before, soon after it's lost. I cannot thank those in the fishing industry enough for their advice and help x
Please find our new form for fishing/fishing vessels only.
You can remain anonymous if you wish.
Let us help you get your gear back.

@osbornejamie@OsborneSaffie God this is awful. Just vile. Chin up Saffie, please, you are better than this scum. Just remember. He is scum. We walk among them. Just think how miserable his life must be to do this. Take some solace in that xx

'People think UK seas are cold and murky. But if you go beneath the surface, it's absolutely stunning.'
