It has been two days since Rene Baterbonia and Divine Adili drowned during an Ateneo team-building activity.
Tab Baldwin, the head coach who designed and introduced this annual week-long activity when he took over the program, has not made a single public statement since the incident became news.

Former player Mike Nieto publicly recalled that during his time, a teammate nearly drowned at sea during a swimming exercise and had to be physically saved by "Coach Tab" himself.

So Baldwin knows the risks. He has seen them firsthand. He has been present when a player almost died in the water before.

And he still has nothing to say.

That is a man hiding behind an institution that is protecting him.
