Airbnb recently leased 46,437 sq.ft in DLF Cybercity at ₹132.5/sq.ft — ₹61.53L/month rent, locked in for 5 years with 5% annual escalation.
The deposit alone was ₹5.54 Cr. This isn't a one-off. GCCs absorbed a record 9.1 million sq.ft in Jan–Mar 2025 — 44% of India's total 20.7 million sq.ft office absorption. Demand is primarily being led by Fortune 500 and US-based firms, concentrated mainly in Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai.
💡 What it means for you:
1. Grade-A office demand is robust, with supply being absorbed as fast as it comes
2. While most people think Cyber City is finished, DLF is still upgrading it into a full-scale CBD, the way BKC and Canary Wharf evolved!
Cyber City is still evolving and upgrading ...
DLF is turning it into a transit-oriented CBD, with pedestrian subways at Shankar Chowk, new foot overbridges, road widening at Atrium Place, a major RRTS station integrating with Rapid Metro and the upcoming Gurgaon Metro, along with the Mall of India and its underpass.
Downtown and Atrium Place expansion continues to bring millions more sq.ft of Grade-A stock
@rishuraj_chd Chandigarh named its roads after ideas:
Vidya, Vigyan, Udyog, Vikas, Shanti, Jan.
Education. Science. Industry. Progress. Peace. People.
The city was designed for a scientific temper.
The roads remember.
The residents, sometimes, forget.

No one could’ve explain this thing better than @ashwinravi99 who himself was part of PBKS and he is right changing venue costs alot😞 i hope we fix this in future and play all the games in New Chandigarh.
This is Chandigarh’s iconic Kisan Bhawan Chowk but look at what it has been turned into.
Cluttered with unnecessary installations, the roundabout is covered up. Random, poorly designed lighting has ruined its visual appeal.
It feels like thoughtless engineering has completely taken away the charm of this landmark.

The beauty of the Kangra valley rail line with an evening service towards Kangra passing by somewhere near Palampur! The Kangra Valley Railway is a 164 km (102 mi) scenic narrow-gauge line connecting Pathankot, Punjab, to Joginder Nagar, Himachal Pradesh, offering breathtaking views of the snow-capped Dhauladhar ranges and lush tea gardens.

Half of India is celebrating a BJP win, the other half is mourning it. Both reactions miss the point. Elections aren’t the goal - economic growth is. And growth is measured in real jobs. The real question: will Bengal see meaningful job creation?
One can buy house like that in Small Town for 50-60 lac.
Still many chose to live in 3 CR 2BHK in mega city while paying EMI for 20 years.
Why?
Job ? This comment I get many time

Surely there are some pro and cons of Small city.
Its hard choice but life in metro is not easy for 99%.
The latest workation hack is here.
I have been working from udaipur for a week now.
So workation sounds fancy until you actually do it right.
It is not about waking up at 11, opening laptop in a cafe, pretending to work, then feeling guilty the whole day. Been there, did that, ngmi.
Real workation is simple:
- Wake up early.
- Finish the important work before the world becomes noisy.
- Use Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or whatever tools you have to move faster, not to become lazy.
- Do the calls.
- Ship the tasks.
- Reply to people.
- Close the loops.
Then in the evening, go sit near a ghat for sometime and let your brain breathe.
Today I came to Ambrai Ghat and spending some time here after work. It feels so good and peaceful tbh.
And honestly, this is the kind of life software engineers should aim for.
Not just remote work where you are stuck in your room with Slack open all day.
But real location freedom.
Do focused work in the morning.
Explore a little in the evening.
Walk near water.
Sit silently.
Think about life.
Come back with a slightly clearer mind.
AI tools have made this much easier now. Earlier, you needed a perfect setup, multiple monitors, too much context switching. Now with Claude and ChatGPT, you can unblock yourself faster, write better, debug faster, understand code faster, and use your mental energy for the actual hard decisions.
But the trick is discipline.
AI will not save you if your daily pattern is broken.
You still need to wake up early.
You still need to focus.
You still need to finish the work first.
Then the travel feels earned.
Otherwise workation becomes just guilt in a different city.
Maybe this is the new dream for software engineers.
Not escaping work.
But designing a life where work, travel, health, learning, and peace can exist together.
Morning for deep work.
Evening for ghats.
Night for reflection.
Repeat.
Taking off my airpods now... What a relief .. ngl
I used to hate being a software engineer but some super smart guys came up with ai agents. It's the best job in the world rn.
It could actually be a significant problem that Europe doesn't have enough garages. This sounds like a joke, but I'm serious. Garages let you work on stuff that doesn't matter yet, which is how big things often start. The outliers of ideas need the outliers of space.
