The simplest of things has yet to be mentioned by any Bears media yet and this is critical imo.
You can’t play QB in the NFL if you’re unprepared and not invested. You especially can’t do it as a rookie QB surrounded by the chaos that was the 2024 Chicago Bears franchise.
3541yds/20TD/6INT is the simple stat line. Was Caleb guilty of some things? Of course. Is it all true what was said about him? Of course not. Let’s just end it with this….
If you believe ALL of it’s true about what was said about this kid and he went out there and put up those stats as an unprepared, non invested diva, then you also must believe he’s the single most talented football player in the history of ever to be able to pull that off. Case fucking closed.
If it was all true then the numbers would be 20INT and 6TD. Let’s be honest.
Bring on the Vikings. #DaBears
Bear down: Chicago is finalizing a deal to hire Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson as its next head coach, sources tell ESPN. Bears are getting their man.
Not saying that Gervon Dexter is going to have a better career than Jalen Carter, but him playing well certainly helps justify the decision to draft Darnell Wright in hindsight (assuming DW can also play at a high level)
Matt Eberflus said the Bears' offensive coaches met with players to go over technique and fundamentals. He said running back D'Andre Swift can "be better" by: "Really it’s pressing the hole, creating that for the offensive line, not coming out too fast and really pressing the hole and making your cuts off of there, and pressing the line of scrimmage. That was the main thing."
Eberflus did note the run game issues aren't all on Swift that "it's everyone."
