I stole $200 worth of product from Home Depot before departing on foot and dropping the items while yelling “sorry”. Sorry didn’t cut it, but I’m unidentified at this time.

VECC is reporting that they received 431 total calls with 271 coming in on 9-1-1 within a 20 minute timeframe. This doesn’t include the calls to the city and school district.
We are working to identify the cause but the 9-1-1 system is being impacted.
The city and schools are safe.

The passage of vehicles through Big Cottonwood Canyon has been halted as a result of an avalanche that has covered the road. CHPD is redirecting drivers at the intersection of Wasatch Blvd and Fort Union. The duration of the closure is currently undetermined.
The individual was placed under arrest and booked in jail- Amusingly, he bantered with officers about his deportation history, suggesting that this was his fourth expulsion from the country and confidently predicting his return by the holiday season-Sgt. Young is PIO.
This afternoon, narcotics detectives from the Cottonwood Height PD successfully captured a man from Honduras found in possession of 300 fentanyl tablets, quantities of crack cocaine, heroin, and a sum of money.
CHPD and Unified Fire working a major accident at I215 and Highland. Rescue crews desperately trying to extricate trapped victim. Southbound Highland is completely blocked and the I215 off-ramp is closed.
