We had lots of great finds at our Bioblitz training and community event at the Walled Garden Parkanaur, with no fewer than 6 different species of bats, a vast amount of insects, birds, frogs and plants identified 🦊🦔🐿🦇🐾🐦🦉🐸🐞🐝🐜🐛🦋🕷🦗🍀🌳🍁

Cities, towns and villages across Northern Ireland have been sowing, planting and pruning ahead of the 2021 Translink Ulster in Bloom Competition, the popular competition has attracted 125 entries representing all local council areas as well as 24 bus and train stations. 1/2

A little bit of normality returned today at the Walled Garden with the Eco Buddies back tending their veg for the veg sale and the ladies down in the village looking after the flower beds.
The vegetable sale continues Mon-Fri 12-4pm and Sat 11am-2pm.

The weather was perfect for our trip on the River Blackwater organised by the Blackwater Community Barge group.

The Blackwater Community Barge operates on a 12 mile stretch of the River Blackwater bordering counties Tyrone and Armagh........
