"The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little."

@MarkLazerus As a Preds fan, you have nailed it with this article. We have been doubling down on a mediocre core since 17-18, with Saros dragging this below average roster into the playoffs and further from true contention.
@DaltonGlenn22@ItsGovertime@PredsNHL I will admit to a bit of hyperbole. Poile has been a great GM, and he deserves credit for his longevity and consistency. But this roster needs a full rebuild. I just think he’s either unwilling to do it or ownership is worried about the financial impact.
@DaltonGlenn22@ItsGovertime@PredsNHL I’ve been a STH from the moment I graduated college and had the money. Besides, my fandom isn’t what I was arguing, and you’ve done nothing to defend your assertion that the offense improved at the expense of defense.
@DaltonGlenn22@ItsGovertime@PredsNHL I love the Preds, but keeping the team stuck in neutral is Poile’s greatest accomplishment. I believe owners are fine with this because the hope of winning the playoff lottery keeps the coffers full. But I want an investment plan not a lottery ticket.
A few days ago I did a mini "mid-mortem" comparing the Kraken season to my pre-season predictions and today, in the spirit of self-congratulation, kinda, to do another one, about the Predators.
