The end to 2025 saw us host our now annual virtual wine tasting just in time for Christmas! Some Bobby dazzlers in the line up (all from @TannersWines of course!). Great to see everyone and HNY 🥂🍾🍷

First stop of our Galicia tour was the lovely @AAlgueira to sample their fantastic wine! After a delicious lunch in their restaurant we enjoyed a delightful cruise on the Sil River with stunning wine scenery!

Our annual dinner was this year in Liverpool @ the fantastic The Raquet Club. 5 courses of pure amazingness with glorious paired wines from our favs @TannersWines - Robert Boutflower joined us to talk through the wines - we loved the own brand English sparkling 🍾🥂A great event

We enjoyed some amazing meals on our trip to Sancerre. Auberge Joseph Mellot, Domaine Henri Bourgeois and La Recreation Gourmande prepared us amazing meals all enjoyed with Sancerre wine! #wine #winetour

On Saturday we crossed the Loire river, visiting Domaine Jean Pabiot et fils in Pouilly. Their wines were stunning! Back to Bué and Jean Max Roger, tasting 9 brilliant wines. The Sancerre wine fair was a treat in the afternoon trying wines from over 100 wineries! #wine #wineclub

We then visited Arnaud and Stéphanie Dezat - trying 10 fantastic wines! Next to their cousin, Firmin Dezat where we loved his clean, elegant and delicious wines. Next to the famous Chavignol goats! And sampling their cheese! Washed down with Sancerre Blanc of course! #sancerre

Our short tour to #Sancerre began with a drinks reception at our fab hotel, Hotel Le Panoramic. Next, onto Auberge, @JosephMellot for a fantastic 3 course meal prepared with local ingredients and accompanied by their great wines! A great first evening #wineclub #winetour

This weekend we hosted our Spring weekend in Carlisle and what a weekend we had! From dining in a castle, to seeing Hadrians wall, to tasting a wee dram at Annandale Distillery! A fantastic weekend. Here are some highlights!

We loved the tour and tasting at Jose Maria Da Fonseca - we’d never experienced such an atmospheric barrel room with monk chants and dark lights! It was wonderful! We hope to one day try the return journey wine which is wine in a barrel transported across the Atlantic and back!!

Our final winery visit of the day was to Quinta Do Piloto,Palmela for a tasting of whites, reds and 2 delightful dessert wines! Such a lovely view from the winery. It was a fab end to a great day of wine tasting in Lisbon #lisboa #lisbon #wine #portugal #wineclub #charleshastings

The committee met last week to plan future events and the general running of the club. Our next trip is this week to Lisbon! We sampled some wines from the region which all got us in excited for the up coming visit! Wines of course from @TannersWines 🍷🍾🥂

A cookery class with Sabine Suter produced a delicious lunch celebrating rich Provençal culinary traditions served on the family veranda paired with delicious wines produced by Sabine's husband and daughter at the family estate of Domaine de l'Amandine. Idyllic! 🍷🍇👌🏼 #wineclub

A superb week sampling delicious wines & the gastronomic delights of Southern Rhone! We visited some fab wineries in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas & surrounding villages. We were delighted to be told that many of the outstanding wines we tried are available from @TannersWines
