REST IN PEACE 🙏🏼
Former child actor Daveigh Chase, known for her youthful voice in Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” and her villainous performance in the thriller “The Ring,” has died. She was 35.

@PopBase Facebook and Instagram down? Guess I’ll go outside and talk to real humans. Nah I’m just kidding, I’m refreshing X like it’s my full-time job now. 😂
@Sjohnson1127B3@MaryMargOlohan Context matters too. People were scared of zombies, aliens, planet collissions, asteroids, and the Rapture in the early 2010s. Something as mundane as a drone (not as common in 2012) or lanterns can trigger those spooks.
It does not help I was a teen that time
@geeonheart09 Getting auto-logged and then realizing you fucked up is already traumatizing. Getting placed into FB purgatory (which is different from a zucc) is bound to give one a heart attack
@Sjohnson1127B3@MaryMargOlohan I remember during the hype of the 2012 apocalypse scare, I saw those sky lanterns and cried thinking that all those alien conspiracy BS that National Geographic and Discovery Channel was real.
Then I saw a drone for the first time, I really thought it was alien.=
AFP joins 128th Philippine Independence Day Commemoration
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) joined the nation in commemorating the 128th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence through its participation in the Flag-Raising and Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the Rizal National Monument and the Parada ng Kalayaan at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila on June 12, 2026.
AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S. Brawner Jr. joined President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and other government officials during the national commemoration at Rizal Park. AFP personnel rendered arrival honors and participated in the solemn flag-raising and wreath-laying rites at the Rizal Monument. The ceremony paid tribute to the sacrifices of the nation's heroes whose courage and patriotism paved the way for Philippine independence.
Following the commemorative rites, General Brawner and AFP contingents took part in the Parada ng Kalayaan at the Quirino Grandstand, where military parade units and marching contingents showcased the discipline, professionalism, and readiness of the Armed Forces in service to the Filipino people.
The AFP's participation in this year's Independence Day celebration reflects its continuing commitment to uphold the country's sovereignty, protect its democratic institutions, and preserve the hard-earned freedoms won by generations of Filipinos.
As the nation celebrates under the theme, “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan: Ang Kalayaang Pinapangarap,” the AFP stands united with the Filipino people in honoring the past, securing the present, and building a peaceful and prosperous future for the country.///

@muppetmusic03@ToonHive The summer of 2006! I remember. I was still 9 so I had to watch it with my brother was 13, but the classification at that time was PG-15.
