Last hoorah of the 2024 Sligo Pallet Forest Rally Championship on Saturday with the 6th round in Clare.
Theres such a down to earth good vibe watching rally cars racing through the forests of Ireland, and plans are already progressing for an even bigger year in 2025!
Gravel spec Escort scrabbling for grip on a mid-stage piece of tarmac, the howl of the BDA bouncing off the surrounding trees.
God its moments like this that make Rallying, especially out in the woods, really special!
Always great to see new and exciting Motorsport publications taking off, and if you like Irish Rallying than Double Caution is well worth a look, it is a digital magazine looking at all levels of the sport.
Its also a nice touch when a photo of mine makes the front cover!
Same location, one shot at 1/10th of a second and the other at 1/6000th of a second, using the same @Sigma_Photo 70-200mm lens helping to capture both the beauty and the speed of the Isle of Man TT.
Ths TT in a single picture. No barriers, no safety tape and no grandstands, just a few feet of tarmac and a thin strip of grass between spectators and a 160+ MPH race bike. There is nothing in world motorsport like it!
Heading to Rally Legend in San Marino this weekend?? Make sure and get Stage 4 & 7 into your plan as Irish Corner makes a return!

Great to fill up the Audi with proper decent fuel while up North over the weekend, the old thing ('06 2.0 TFSI) has been a bit shook since the E10 arrived and is throwing engine lights quite often.
The 106 absolutely hates the new fuel, and gets a bottle of Octane Boost now.
