Allow me to be vulnerable for a second.

I know this isn't the corner of the internet where you're supposed to open up like this. CT runs on bravado. That's never been me, so here's the raw version.

I don't think I processed getting hacked until right now, typing this.

When I saw it, my stomach just dropped. Someone was inside. Inside the thing I've poured a year of my life into, the thing I check before I'm fully awake and think about as I fall asleep. In that first second I felt everything at once, the panic, the violation, the sick certainty that I'd failed, and then all of it got shoved into a box because there was no time. There is never any time when it's actually happening.

So I went somewhere flat and mechanical. Tear it down. Rebuild. Rotate. Close it. Check it. Check it again. Just a machine running one loop.

And you can't stop. You don't get to fall apart in the middle of it. The thing depends on you holding it together, so you hold it together, and you tell yourself you'll process it later.

This is later. And it's all coming now, all at once, heavier than I expected. The anger. The shame that there was a door I left open.

But here's what's carrying me through it. This community. You didn't turn on us. You didn't panic or pile on. You gave us room to work and you trusted us to tell you the truth, and you have no idea how much that meant while I was buried in it.

So thank you. Genuinely. For your patience, for your understanding, for still being here. We caught it, we closed it, we came back harder, and we did it with you at our backs.
