This historic milestone is long-awaited and well deserved. @CINCollege serves over 100 Tribes nationwide with 76% of their enrollment being first-generation college students!
I commend C.I.N.C. as it continues to make higher education accessible throughout Indian country and our district, CA-25.
Congratulations to California Indians Nations College @CINCollege for reaching accreditation and becoming the first Tribal College in California to do so in over 20 years!
The COD Palm Springs Campus had a food drive earlier this week. There's a surplus of shelf stable food to give away to CINC students & families. The boxes/bags of food are available until they run out. If interested, please stop by the COD Palm Springs Campus, Building PS01.
Per Watch Duty: The evacuation order has been downgraded to a warning for the Cahuilla Gas Station and Casino, per a wireless emergency alert on PBS Warn. Highway 371 has reopened. Please continue sending prayers, positive vibes to all!
Update on the Dale Fire that is affecting our Cahuilla Reservation family - as of 7am the fire is 25% contained and many of the evacuation orders have been downgraded to warnings. However several of the orders still in effect are on Cahuilla land.
Attention, students/families that live in the Anza & Aguanga region. There is a fire happening and one possibly headed close to Cahuilla Casino, let's pray for the community. PLEASE NOTE: A care center has been established @the Anza Community Center at 56630 Highway 371 in Anza.
Please be advised of a #carauction at the #PalmSpringsConventionCenter. Intersection of Avenida Caballeros being closed off. If you are attending CINC #OpenHouse 4PM-6PM today at PS campus (1300 Baristo Rd.), please avoid the Convention Center area. We hope to see you later!
