Our Marketing & Fundraising Support Officer Annabelle spent a morning with the NI fundraising community last week attending the Spring Forum organised by @CIOFNIRELAND.
A great opportunity to meet fundraising teams from other charities. 🥰

For our next session, we have the Chief Executive of @marathonbcm Claire O'Neill highlighting the event programme of the marathon, with the team relay being the biggest event for the marathon as well as for local charities.
This year, there will be 6600 full marathon runners!
Very informtaive session from @nfp_Research on how the public views charities.
Some key takeaways;
*Emphasise your local credentials*
*The public wants stories - emotional engagement is key*
*There is more room for investment in fundraising*

📍Methods of Donating📍
"More traditional forms of giving remain the most popular forms of donating."
Charity shops and collection tins remain the most popular.

The first session this morning is delivered by @nfp_Research
Sarah and Peter are providing an oversight of how the public views charities across NI.
"Charities should focus more on successes and bring the public with them rather than focusing on problem."
