Embracing Ayurveda, Nurturing Well-Being.

The 11th National Ayurveda Day was observed at various CISF Airport Units with sessions aimed at creating awareness among CISF personnel about the benefits of Ayurveda and promoting healthy lifestyle practices.

The sessions highlighted the preventive and holistic approach of Ayurveda and its role in maintaining physical and mental well-being. Medical consultations and other health-related services were also provided, along with the distribution of Ayurvedic medicines.

CISF Airport Sector continues to encourage healthy living and holistic well-being among its personnel through such initiatives.

Shri Senthil Avoodai Krishna Raj S., IPS, IG/APS-I, conducted the Formal Annual Inspection of CISF Unit ASG Dehradun.

During the visit, IG/APS-I was accorded a Guard of Honour, followed by inspection of the Quarter Guard and plantation of a sapling. He reviewed the Unit’s operational and administrative preparedness through inspections of key security installations, including the perimeter wall, Terminal Building, SHA, SOCC, Unit Line, Barracks and Dog Squad/BDDS, and interacted with duty personnel.

A mock drill simulating an armed attack through the perimeter wall was also conducted. A Ladies Rest Room at the Terminal Building and a newly installed Roti Maker at the Unit Line Mess were inaugurated during the visit. Meetings were also held with AAI, BCAS, representatives of airlines and Unit officers to review security infrastructure, operational preparedness, welfare and administrative matters.

Addressing the Sainik Sammelan, IG/APS-I sensitised personnel on effective discharge of their duties and emphasised professional conduct, alertness, dedication and commitment towards duty.

CISF at Navi Mumbai Airport conducted the Annual Anti-Hijacking Mock Exercise (AHME)–2026 to assess inter-agency preparedness, coordination and response mechanisms.

Shri Milind Bharambe, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Navi Mumbai, chaired the Aerodrome Committee, with Shri Sunit Sharma, DIG/CASO, and representatives of the concerned agencies in attendance. A total of 224 personnel from CISF, NSG, Local Police, airport operator, ARFF, IB, airlines and other concerned agencies participated in the exercise.

The exercise reinforced inter-agency coordination, operational readiness and adherence to established procedures for an effective response to aviation security emergencies.

CISF personnel detected 11 plastic containers containing sandalwood during screening of hand baggage at International SHA, Delhi Airport.
The passenger, travelling to Kabul, along with the detected items, was handed over to Customs for further legal investigation.
